The California Department of Food and Agriculture certified the referendum, revealing that 85.77% of participating growers voted in favor of maintaining the Commission’s operations.

Established in 2006, the SCWC has been instrumental in promoting sustainable practices within the region. Notably, in 2019, Sonoma County became the world's first sustainable winegrowing region, with a remarkable 99% of its vineyards certified sustainable.
